Having iPods in the classrooms can benefit students in many ways, it can help them be more involved in the lecures in class and feeling like they can answer questions without getting made fun of for having the wrong answer, or they don't have to tell the teacher "I don't know." They can freely answer questions and the teacher can tell who understands the lessons and who doesn't; which then they can come up with ways to help that student or students learn. Having iPods in the classroom is allowing students to interact with students from other schools, where for example one school can make a project, do their research and data, and then they as a class can post their findings on the web and other schools and teachers can get ideas and add to the project. The internet is becoming a huge social network.
In my opinion, we should have incorperated more technology activities many years ago. Students would probably be more up to asking questions in class and having more class discussions, and not be ashamed if they don't understand or if they have their own opinion. Using these technologies in the classrooms could help our students get jobs and many other things. But we also have down falls to putting the internet into classrooms, children now are getting facebooks, twitter accounts, and many other social networking accounts; and they are at an age where they may not understand the concequences of what they are doing. Schools can also block websites from being viewed at school which could help with many things. I believe that we should incorperate technology into classrooms as long as it will benefit the students.
